The beach of Manta Rota is a large beach which is located in the town of the same name, in Vila Real de Santo Antonio district of Faro , a fishing village in origin and an important tourist center today, still retains some of its traditional appearance.
The sandy borders with the lagoon system of Ria Formosa . It has a fairly long dune except in the center where the population and facilities for tourism.
Overpasses bathers take to the sand and the wider public and orderly parking is adjacent to the shade of poplar trees in the area east of the beach.
Less than neighboring area frequented Balnaid of Monte Gordo , still offers quiet corners especially at the ends of the beach.
