Traditional neighborhoods Porto scattered on the banks
of the Douro River, with the harmony of its lines and its medieval urban
structure, surprising given his busy business life, for its bustling outdoor
markets during the day and its food and beverages that encourage nightlife.
It is composed of an intricate network of narrow,
winding streets, porches and homes of several plants that are stacked next to
each other, with tiled or painted walls with pastel colors, with extended
clothes to dry on the balconies.
Beside the Ribeira, below the cathedral, the
neighborhood O Barredo seems to have not been altered since the Middle Ages.
The railings of their homes hanging over the steep
hill forming a maze of ancient streets and steep stairs.
