Synagogue Beit Eliahu, Belmonte, Alentejo.

The Jewish community in Belmonte was officially recognised in 1989 and the Synagogue Beit Eliahu opened its doors in 1996. It is one of the few Jewish communities in Portugal with religious activities. The Jewish cemetery was opened in 2001.
